Development corporations decided to transfer the former military camp and the remaining part of the Kronprinz barracks in Kaliningrad. The head of the property agency, Natalya Kuznetsova, spoke about this at a government meeting on Thursday, April 25.

It is proposed to include the former military camp No. 32 on Suvorov Street into the authorized capital of the organization. It includes 20 real estate properties with a total area of ​​16.7 thousand square meters, as well as more than four hectares of land (KN: 39:15:150816:360 and 39:15:150816:70). They are planning to create a cluster of creative industries on the territory together with the Krespektiva Foundation.

The creation of a single cluster of creative industries from the production of films, computer and online games to tailoring designer clothes and the production of souvenirs will create new jobs and provide support for small businesses and self-employed citizens, Kuznetsova explained.

In addition, they want to transfer part of the Kronprinz barracks on Litovsky Val to the joint-stock company. It includes three real estate properties with an area of ​​3.6 thousand square meters and a plot of almost three thousand square meters (KN: 39:15:132510:28). Earlier, the Development Corporation received another part of the land and structures of the cultural heritage site. Consolidation of the complex under a single copyright holder will make it possible to attract an investor to implement a tourism project.

The government approved changes to the privatization plan. The document will be sent to the deputies of the Legislative Assembly for consideration.

In 2021, work began on a major renovation of the buildings of the former military camp on Suvorov Street. After restoration, they planned to give them to local artists and musicians. It was assumed that there would be a walking area with creative workshops, a cafe, a cinema hall and exhibition spaces. The work was expected to be completed in 2023.

The Development Corporation has already ordered a comprehensive survey for the Crown Prince Barracks. Based on the results, the organization should receive recommendations for repairs.
