More than 70 thousand children will rest in summer camps in the Tver region. On April 23, at a meeting of the Government of the Tver Region, the upcoming health campaign 2024 was discussed.
Marina Proskuryakova, a mother of many children, comments on the topic:
My children vacationed several times in the summer at the Verkhnevolzhsky sanatorium, at military-patriotic camps, at the Computer Center, and in the spring at the Prometheus sanatorium. My children often go to “Verkhnevolzhsky” – it is located on the Volga, in the Konakovsky district. There is good food, entertainment, and quests. It is no worse than a camp – everything is the same, even better: the accommodation is more comfortable, two people per room, the same nature. My kids – I now have five minor children, three aged 14, 11 and 10 – love it there. Recently, the clinic again offered to go to Prometheus during spring break. I am happy: the children were treated there, they rested and studied. And thanks to the Tver Foundation, families with many children had the opportunity to participate in an educational program that was held at the historical park “Russia is my history.” However, we were never able to visit a country summer camp. We signed up, but they didn’t offer budget places: there were too many applicants – those under guardianship and children from disadvantaged families have an advantage over other children. And in recent years, children of SVO participants and residents of Belgorod have been added to them. If before this we were hampered by Covid, then in 2022–23 there will be a large number of refugees. Again, there were no places for those with many children. But we are only talking about vouchers that are allocated through social security, free of charge. I won’t say it’s expensive to buy, but when there are a lot of children, it’s a large sum. The ticket to the military-patriotic camp was paid for 50 percent. This summer I applied for vouchers to the sanatorium. I’m not sure whether they will give it or not, but if there is no place, no problem: my 14-year-old boy, a theater child, received an offer to work as an animator. His 11-year-old brother also wants to do this with him.
“The number of camps in which children can not only have an interesting holiday, but also spend their holidays usefully and gain work skills is growing significantly. It is necessary to maintain these trends,” said Governor Igor Rudenya
