“United Russia” opened a sambo section at the gymnasium named after Podolsk cadets

It was from this largest and successful educational institution that they decided to begin the implementation in our urban district of the All-Russian project “Sambo – to school!”, as well as the party project “ZaSambo” of the United Russia party.

Secretary of the Podolsk branch of the United Russia party Grigory Artamonov took part in the gala event together with the chairman of the city council Alexei Nikulin, the president of the Sambo Federation of the Moscow Region Sergei Fomkin and famous athletes.

This sport has long been in demand among Podolsk residents. Now even very young residents of the district can learn self-defense skills.

“I am very glad that the opportunity to practice sambo has arisen. This is a truly masculine sport, and now our children will be able to develop in it. Boys should be able to stand up for themselves, and here they teach just that,” shared Anna Yudina, the mother of an aspiring athlete.

Among the gymnasium students, 15 primary school students expressed a desire to become sambo wrestlers. At the expense of municipal funds, uniforms and everything necessary for effective training were purchased for them. Professional trainers will teach children fighting skills. ⠀

“I am confident that we will be able to raise real champions and the names of our guys will make waves throughout Russia,” said Grigory Artamonov.

Let us remind you that the spread of a healthy lifestyle was among the main tasks set by our President Vladimir Putin. The head of state himself is actively involved in sports, and sambo is one of his favorites.

Earlier, the Governor of the Moscow Region, Andrei Vorobyov, outlined the task of popularizing mass sports among residents of the region.
