In the Orenburg region, the court considered a high-profile criminal case against a resident of Buzuluk, who threw the body of her child into a container for household waste.

The young mother was accused under two articles: “Causing death by negligence” and “Improper performance of the duties of raising a minor by a parent who is entrusted with these duties.”

As Orenburg Media wrote, on April 19, 2023, in a garbage container in the area of ​​residential buildings on Suvorov Buzuluka Street, a utility employee, while unloading garbage, discovered the body of a four-month-old child without signs of life. The baby’s mother was detained on suspicion of committing a crime. She tried to hide, but was discovered in the Samara region.

The court and investigation established that the child died on April 15 at home from illness. The 22-year-old woman was afraid of responsibility for his death and decided to get rid of her son’s body. She wrapped the boy’s body in a plastic bag and threw it in a trash container. After this, the resident of Buzuluk left the city. A forensic medical examination determined that the cause of death of the child was pneumonia. No injuries were found on the child’s body.

Having considered the case, the court restricted the woman’s freedom for a period of 2 years and 4 months. The court’s verdict did not enter into legal force.
