In the Admiralteysky district of St. Petersburg this morning, a fire in a five-story residential building was put out at an increased level of complexity. Fortunately, there were no casualties.

According to the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for St. Petersburg, information about a fire in house 39 on Podolskaya Street was received by the duty station on April 25 at 06:30.

Fire and rescue crews quickly arrived at the scene of the incident and found that there was a fire on the third and fourth floors of the building over a total area of ​​60 square meters.

At 06:44 the fire was assigned an additional number 1-BIS. After about an hour, rescuers managed to localize the fire and extinguish the open fire. Work continued on the first number.

“At 12:32 the fire was extinguished. 10 people were evacuated from the danger zone. There were no reports of casualties,” the rescue agency said, adding that five pieces of equipment and 22 personnel took part in extinguishing the fire.
