According to the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Tver region, police continue to organize measures to prevent fraud. Local police commissioners met with patients and employees of the emergency clinical hospital.

Police officers told medical workers and patients about the latest schemes of scammers, warned against communicating with them, and also noted that anyone can become a victim of deception.

The police especially noted that in order to get money, scammers can pose as anyone – bank employees and law enforcement agencies, cellular operators. Tver residents should always be careful when communicating with strangers.

Law enforcement officers focused their event on the important rules that must be followed when communicating on the Internet, social networks and instant messengers, and recommended caution when installing software on your phone, especially at the request of strangers, and under no circumstances should it be disclosed to third parties passwords for accounts and personal accounts in financial institutions.

At the end of the conversations, the police handed out preventive leaflets with tips on how to protect themselves from cybercrimes.
