XII Legas readings were held in Tula – News from Tula and the region

On April 25, the XII International Scientific and Practical Conference “Academician V.A.” was held in Tula. Legasov and modernity”.

Representatives of the scientific community, public organizations, as well as schoolchildren and students gathered within the walls of Tula State University. The participants made reports on the heroism of academician Valery Legasov and his contribution to the liquidation of the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

The results of the research competition were also summed up at the conference. 77 people from different regions of our country took part in it, and 10 became winners. They were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts. Scholarships named after Academician Legasov were also awarded.

Let us remind you that a park named after them was opened in Tula. Academician Valery Legasov. He was an outstanding scientist, Hero of Russia and Honorary Citizen of the region.
