In Murmansk, more than five thousand lamps were replaced as part of the modernization of street lighting. The head of the city administration, Yuri Serdechkin, announced this during his work report for 2023.

In total, under the contract with Rosseti PJSC, it is necessary to replace more than 10 thousand lamps installed on sections of the road network, public areas and areas of apartment buildings. The company is now in the active phase of contract implementation. The work is planned to be completed by June, the head of administration said.

In addition, the city has 12 sensors installed (four in each district), which, depending on the level of illumination, automatically control street lighting.
