Russia has excluded antibiotics from the list of registered drugs for the treatment of acute respiratory viral infections. The Russian Ministry of Health adopted a new standard of care.

The new version includes other drugs, in particular one of the popular ones widely advertised on television. Pulse oximetry has also been added to the list of instrumental methods for treating the disease, RG reports.

The list of medical services for the diagnosis of acute respiratory viral infections has also been expanded. The list of specialists who can diagnose ARVI has also been expanded.
