There are fewer counterfeit banknotes in the Voronezh region

The number of counterfeit banknotes has decreased in the Voronezh region since the beginning of 2024.

According to the Voronezh branch of the Bank of Russia, 32 banknotes with signs of counterfeiting have been found in the region since the beginning of the year. Compared to last year, this is 20% less.

The fakes were handed over to the police to search for the “artists.”

Fake five thousandths were encountered most often, the Central Bank noted. In addition, there were counterfeits of thousand-ruble bills, hundred-ruble bills, two-thousand and five-hundred-ruble bills. There was even a counterfeit 10 ruble coin.
