The governor of the Smolensk region held a working meeting with the general director of JSC “Quadra – Power Generation”

Governor of the Smolensk Region Vasily Anokhin and General Director of JSC “Quadra – Power Generation” Ksenia Sukhotina, during a working meeting, discussed the development of the heat and power complex in the regional center, including the modernization of equipment at Smolenskaya CHPP-2. At the station, as part of the CSA-2 program, the company will replace two turbine units worth over 8 billion rubles.

At the moment, the main equipment of the first turbine unit, which is scheduled to be launched in December of this year, has already been installed in its design position. The installation of process pipelines, cable routes and auxiliary equipment is currently ongoing. At the same time, elements of the second turbine unit are being supplied from the manufacturing plants, which will be put into operation in December 2025.

During the meeting, the parties also discussed the branch’s plans for the upcoming renovation campaign. Energy workers will allocate over 570 million rubles for repairs and reconstruction of heating networks and generating equipment. More than 3.5 km of worn out main heating networks will be replaced.

Particular attention at the meeting was paid to another priority area of the company’s work in the region – customer service. Quadra has already launched a multi-channel telephone with an interactive menu, a service for receiving requests from customers after hours, and an auto-informer about heat and hot water outages. In addition, the branch’s database will soon be synchronized with the dispatch service of the municipal unitary enterprise “Smolenskteploset”, which will make obtaining information more convenient for residents of Smolensk.

“I thank Vasily Nikolaevich for the constructive dialogue and fruitful cooperation. In cooperation with the regional government and the administration of Smolensk, we will continue to update the infrastructure and develop customer service to improve the quality of services and the comfort of city residents,” noted Ksenia Sukhotina.

“The key resource supply organization of the city, with our assistance, is implementing an investment program for the comprehensive modernization of the relevant infrastructure. By joint efforts we will improve the quality of heat supply services for Smolensk residents, as well as reduce the breakdown rate of equipment and networks,” noted Vasily Anokhin.
