The very first and simplest is territorial public self-government. It is TOS that provide communication between society and local governments through councils and the city administration. There are about 640 such organizations in Belgorod.
Now about the authorities. There are 27 of them in Belgorod, they help solve everyday issues of residents: unsatisfactory work of management companies, uncleaned yard, parking lot arrangement, etc. Anyone can contact their government.
Citizens can also contact the city administration both in person and through online services: an Internet reception on the administration website, communities on social networks, personal messages to the mayor of Belgorod.
Last year, the main strategic document for the development of the city was adopted, which was based on the results of a population survey on the quality of life in various areas.
We identified 5 main situations that require an integrated approach from the municipality:
- landscaping;
- management of an apartment building;
- public acceptance of work after major home repairs;
- visiting educational institutions under restrictions;
- restoration of housing damaged as a result of shelling.
To resolve these issues, the authorities have developed algorithms for interactions between residents and structures providing assistance and support. Also at public hearings, Belgorod residents can make comments and suggestions.
Particular attention is paid to the MIAS GIC system – this is a platform for effective planning and control of tasks, where everyone can leave a request for various types of work to improve the city.
Let us remind you that in 2023, the Teatralny and Student squares, the city embankment and the Berega Park were landscaped. In addition, 22 courtyard areas were renovated, 13 children’s and sports grounds were built, and 7 initiative projects were implemented as part of the “We Solve Together” competition.
