The event dedicated to the start of the regional stage of the All-Russian patriotic action “St. George’s Ribbon” was held in Bryansk.
Governor of the Bryansk region Alexander Bogomaz, chief federal inspector for the Bryansk region of the office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Central Federal District Andrey Dyachuk, deputy governors, head of the city of Bryansk Marina Dbar, Heroes of Russia Andrey Frolenkov, Alexander Postoyalko, representatives of executive authorities gathered on the Square of Military Glory in the regional center , student teams.
A student fighter spoke about the importance of the “St. George’s Ribbon” campaign Alexey Kalmykov:
“People associate May 9 with the St. George’s Ribbon. The holiday has always existed, but thanks to the St. George Ribbon, it acquired its own sign. Thanks to the student youth of the Bryansk region, the action has become a tradition filled with a calm and clear meaning. It is important for us to honor the memory of our heroes and talk about the importance of the St. George Ribbon.”
Alla Petruninacommander of the Youth Army detachment of kindergarten No. 68, spoke about the patriotic education of children in preschool institutions:
“Youth Army detachments at kindergarten No. 68 have been created for four years now. We congratulate the retired teachers who have already left the kindergarten, we visit monuments and memorials of military glory.”
Members of the creative team “Peresvet” performed at the event. Volunteers unrolled a large canvas of the St. George Ribbon. Participants of the event laid flowers at the “City of Military Glory” stele.
