On April 24, in the Throne Hall of the Smolensk Diocesan Administration, a ceremony was held to sign cooperation agreements between the Smolensk diocese and municipalities located on the canonical territory of the Smolensk diocese.

“We are expanding cooperation with the Smolensk diocese in humanitarian and educational work.

We are strengthening these areas at the municipal level. There will be more joint events, projects and programs in the field of education, spiritual, moral and patriotic education of children and youth in charitable, social and volunteer activities,” noted Governor of the Smolensk Region Vasily Anokhin on his pages on social networks and in the Telegram channel.

Cooperation agreements with the Smolensk diocese were signed by the heads of Smolensk, Demidovsky, Velizhsky, Rudnyansky, Kardymovsky, Krasninsky, Yartsevo, Dorogobuzhsky, Dukhovshchinsky districts and the city of Smolensk.

“Particular attention is paid to the preservation and development of culture and traditional family values. This is very important in the Year of the Family, which was declared by President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin.

I am grateful to Metropolitan Isidore of Smolensk and Dorogobuzh and the clergy of the diocese for their active participation in the life of the region and for their support of our social initiatives,” emphasized Vasily Anokhin.
