Repairs to the retaining wall of the Stone Bridge, which collapsed due to heavy rain last June, have been completed, the city administration said.
At its base, 32 piles were concreted, and a structure was installed that would evenly distribute the load from the side pressure of the earth. The section of the road under the Stone Bridge has also been restored, but the date of opening to traffic is still unknown.
Renovation of the bridge itself will begin later. For work on a cultural heritage site, which is the Stone Bridge, special documents are required: they are now being prepared. This may take a long time, citizens were warned. There is also work ahead to assess the scale of the tasks, search for financing and a contractor.
