In St. Petersburg, over three months, more than seven thousand signs and traffic lights were cleared of advertisements and graffiti, and over two thousand more signs were replaced, the press service of the Transport Committee reported today. As noted, almost 12 thousand applications were processed through the Dispatch Service of the Directorate for Traffic Management.

We also approved programs for the year to install T7 traffic lights at 75 unregulated pedestrian crossings, 35 L-shaped supports for road signs, artificial humps at 27 addresses in nine districts, and the construction of 77 new unregulated pedestrian crossings. Approval of programs for the construction of 47 and modernization of 58 traffic light facilities, as well as lowering of curb stones at intersections, is expected.

In addition, it is planned to modernize the automated traffic control system – 47 traffic light objects will be connected to it, and it is also planned to organize priority conditions for the movement of route transport along a length of 4.2 kilometers on Nauki Avenue.

Previously, the Petersburg Diary reported that new T7 traffic lights will be installed at 75 pedestrian crossings in St. Petersburg.
