Magnetic storms are expected in Nizhny Novgorod at the end of April. Such data was published on the My-calend.ru portal.
The strongest magnetic storms are expected in the Volga capital on April 25 and 26. They are rated 4 points out of 8. On other days, the geomagnetic situation will not exceed 3 points.
According to the service, during magnetic storms the following symptoms appear: worsening mood, loss of energy, headache, sleep disturbances, depression, and surges in blood pressure.
And the website RU-METEO.com states that the strongest magnetic storm is expected only in the first half of the day on April 26. The geomagnetic situation will be 4 points out of 9 possible.
The Laboratory of Solar Astronomy of the Institute of Space Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the ISTP SB RAS confirmed that a huge number of flares have occurred on the Sun in recent days, but solar masses are unlikely to reach the Earth.
However, scientists have indicated that magnetic storms on April 25 and 26 are possible. The probability of weak geomagnetic disturbances for both days is estimated at 40%, and strong – at 5%.
As Nikolai Lapin, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, dean of the Faculty of Physics and Technology of Minin University, previously told Open Nizhny, insignificant changes do not in any way affect people’s well-being.
By the way, magnetic storms can cause northern lights in the Nizhny Novgorod region. The last time an unusual phenomenon for our region was noticed was on the evening of April 19.
