In the north of the capital, state traffic inspectors conducted a preventive event “Children Passengers”

During the “Children Passengers” event, state traffic inspectors held preventive conversations with drivers transporting children in vehicles. Police officers reminded adults about ways to safely transport children in a car and the need to use seat belts and special restraints appropriate for the child’s height and weight. Administrative liability is provided for violating the rules for transporting children. State traffic inspectors drew the attention of car owners to careful maneuvering in courtyard areas and near educational institutions.

After the event, the police visited the State Budgetary Educational Institution School No. 2098 named after Hero of the Soviet Union L.M. Dovator, located on Angarskaya Street, and GBOU School No. 1592 named after E.N. Chernyshev, located in Beskudnikovsky Proezd. Together with representatives of the parent community, law enforcement officers reminded parents of the importance of safe transportation of children and handed them thematic leaflets.

Drivers who violated traffic rules are held accountable under Part 3 of Article 12.23 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Violation of the requirements for the transportation of children established by the Traffic Rules” and under Part 1 of Article 12.29 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Violation of the Rules of the Road by a pedestrian or passenger of a vehicle.”
