In Yaroslavl, the former head of the production and technical department of PATP-1 was convicted. Sergei Rachila is accused of receiving a large bribe for performing actions in favor of the bribe-giver and the persons he represents.

The investigation established that in the period from February 2018 to July 2022, Sergei Rachila received funds in the amount of 341 thousand 210 rubles from the head of the department of a commercial organization, Alexei Matsenko. For this, the defendant had to assist in concluding contracts between a motor transport company and a commercial organization for the supply of goods and accelerating payment under contracts.

Today, April 25, Sergei Rachila heard the verdict. The Kirov District Court sentenced him to three years in a maximum security colony and a fine of one time the amount of the bribe. Also, he cannot hold positions in the civil service and local government for a period of 5 years. The bribe received was confiscated in favor of the state.

Bribe giver Alexey Matsenko was also sentenced to three years. He will serve his sentence in a maximum security penal colony. The court also imposed a fine on him in the amount of five times the amount of the bribe – 1,706,050 rubles, and banned him from holding positions in the civil service and local government for a five-year period.

The convicts are taken into custody in the courtroom. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
