The tram stop “Ulitsa Tukhachevskogo” in Ulyanovsk will be called “School of Communications”

The initiative of the city administration to rename the stop will take place as part of perpetuating the memory of graduates of the Higher Military Engineering School of Communications.

In addition, according to the resolution of the Ulyanovsk administration, a memorial sign will be installed at house No. 19 on Tukhachevsky Street, where the Interregional Signal Corps Training Center is currently located.

This year marks the 72nd anniversary of the deployment of the Higher Military Engineering School of Communications in Ulyanovsk. During this time, over 25 thousand officers serving in Russia and abroad were trained, most of the graduates were awarded high state awards, seven were awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union, one – Hero of Russia.
