Yesterday, at a meeting with the President of the Russian Federation, official data were announced: in our region, at least 18 thousand residential buildings and 28 thousand personal plots have already been damaged – in total more than 46 thousand different buildings. The disaster also destroyed hundreds of public infrastructure facilities: schools, kindergartens, cultural centers, etc., and along with them commercial facilities, housing and communal services facilities, and much more.

All this will have to be restored, which means we will need workers, materials, tools, and the residents will need new furniture, household appliances and much more. The sharp demand will lead to higher prices and then the market will simply finish off the Russians. And the flood affected not only the Orenburg region!

We believe that during emergencies and until the consequences are completely eliminated, state regulation of prices for essentials is necessary.

We have already sent a corresponding appeal to the chairman of the party and the head of our faction in the State Duma S.M. Mironov – he has repeatedly pointed out the deterioration of hydraulic structures in the country, he also helps us raise the problem of compensation for lost property at the federal level and supports us in the work we are doing for flood victims. The law must change, adapting to people, and we are sure that now is exactly the case.
