Raids on possible places of residence of illegal migrants in Sevastopol are carried out regularly. However, recently (more precisely, after the tragedy at Crocus City Hall), this work has become especially intense – not only in our city, but throughout the country.

During the next raid, as reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, two “places of compact residence of migrants” working on construction sites in Sevastopol were checked. The raid took place in the Balaklava region. Participating in it were employees of the criminal investigation department, the Center for Combating Extremism, the departments for the control of drug trafficking and migration issues, the Canine Service Center of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Sevastopol, the Russian Department of Internal Affairs for the Balaklava region and the Russian FSB Directorate for the Black Sea Fleet. Force support was provided by the Berkut-S riot police of the Russian Guard.

The haul of violators was not very rich: it is reported that six foreigners were identified who violated the regime of stay in the Russian Federation. All of them were brought to administrative responsibility under Part 1 of Art. 18.8 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation (“Violation by a foreign citizen or stateless person of the rules of entry into the Russian Federation or the regime of stay (residence) in the Russian Federation”). But the total number of migrants living in the two tested hostels is impressive.

As the report says, more than 150 foreign citizens live in two hostels, mainly from the Central Asian republics. They all arrived in Sevastopol to work.

Their documents were checked and correlated with data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs databases. No substances or objects prohibited in the Russian Federation were found either – the inspection was carried out by a service dog that can be trusted. The question remains: in what conditions do these “more than 150 people” live and what is the situation with sanitary well-being there? But this issue is beyond the responsibility of the police.

The raid carried out by Sevastopol security forces was much more successful spent 24 Martha. Then, let us remind you, 68 violators of migration laws were discovered who were working on the construction of a cultural cluster at Cape Khrustalny. On this day in the country there was mourning declared for those killed as a result of the terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall. In connection with the terrorist attack, the President of Russia announced the introduction of additional anti-terrorism and anti-sabotage measures in all regions of the country.
