In Volgograd, the road along Dorozhnaya Street is being repaired

Workers will install new curbs, lay new asphalt and clean up pedestrian areas.

Workers began repairing the passage along Dorozhnaya Street in the Dzerzhinsky district of Volgograd. The entire section – from Dzhanybekovskaya Street to Dvinskaya Street – is subject to restoration.

Major repairs of the road have not been carried out for several decades. During this time, the asphalt was severely worn out, holes and cracks appeared. In some places the soil base is visible.

Now specialists are dismantling the old curb and installing a new one. Workers will remove the old asphalt and lay down two layers of new along the entire width of the 800-meter road. The sidewalks will also be put in order.

– The work is being carried out within the framework of the national project “BKD”. In the coming road construction season, within the framework of the national project, 43 sections of roads with a total length of more than 33 km are subject to comprehensive restoration, noted the Volgograd administration.

It should be noted that road repair and construction are included in the 10-year comprehensive development program for Volgograd. The implementation of the measures provided for in the program will significantly increase the safety and capacity of the city’s road network.
