In Tver, at the site of the Quantorium children’s technology park, the regional stage of the All-Russian drone piloting championship “Pilots of the Future” was held. 20 teams from different municipalities of the Upper Volga region took part in the competition.

The championship is held under the federal project “Patriotic Education of Citizens of the Russian Federation” within the framework of the presidential national project “Education”. As part of the regional stage of the championship, engineers from each team were tested on their knowledge of unmanned aerial vehicles, and then two pilots competed against the clock in a drone race simulator.

The competitions were held in two age categories: from 6 to 11 years and from 12 to 18 years. Based on the results of the competition, two teams from Tver and Kimry will represent our region in the finals of the All-Russian Championship, which will be held in Kazan from July 4 to 8. Teams from Torzhok and the Belsky district also showed a high level of piloting at the regional stage, reports the press service of the government of the Tver region.
