For security reasons, the traditional procession of the Immortal Regiment has been canceled this year. The online format remains relevant. Yaroslavl residents can upload photos from family archives to the official website of the movement moypolk.ru. On Victory Day, photographs will be shown on media facades, screens in Yaroslavl, as well as on television.

Yaroslavl residents can join the citywide action and change their avatar on their social networks to a portrait of a Hero who fought fascism during the Great Patriotic War. The website polkrf.ru/shtender will help you design a photo, where an online designer is available – on the photo you can indicate the name, military rank and years of life of the Hero.

Yaroslavl residents can place portraits of Heroes on car windows – on the inside of the rear and side windows, on the side doors. Don’t forget about the rules of safe driving: portraits should not interfere with driving.

— The veteran’s photo should be placed only on clean, washed cars and kept in decent condition while the car is being used. When leaving on Victory Day for personal and official business, employees and vehicle owners actually take part in the celebration of Victory Day, creating the effect of the Immortal Regiment passing throughout the day, said Maria Zabalueva, head of the youth policy department of the Yaroslavl City Hall.

The traditional “Wall of Memory” event will be organized in the city. In office buildings, educational institutions, enterprises and organizations in Yaroslavl, stands with photographs of heroes of the Great Patriotic War – grandfathers and great-grandfathers of students and employees of organizations – will be displayed.

On the eve of the holiday, Victory banners will be hung in the windows and balconies of student dormitories, schools, universities, enterprises and organizations. In addition, the windows of city institutions will be decorated with thematic drawings and symbols of the holiday. Any Yaroslavl resident can join the “Windows of Victory” campaign.
