President of the Karelia Chamber of Commerce and Industry: “This is a rich and serious report”

“This is a rich and serious report – almost all areas of life in the republic are covered,” Alexander Lysenkovsky noted on his social network page.

The President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Karelia indicated the most important indicators of last year: growth in the industrial production index (100.7%), growth in the retail trade index (109.5%), growth in the production of machinery and equipment compared to 2022 (163.7% ), an increase in the number of people employed in small and medium-sized businesses, an increase in the number of tourism facilities, an increase in investment and a decrease in unemployment.

“In difficult conditions of sanctions pressure, we managed to avoid serious problems and maintain the stable operation of enterprises. We did not lose a single large enterprise, we were able to quickly reorient sales to the domestic market, repurpose production, and adapt to new realities. A lot has been done thanks to the participation of businesses in government support programs,” said Lysenkovsky.

Let us remember that the day before the Head of the region made a report in which he spoke about a record volume of investments for the region – more than 100 billion rubles. Arthur Parfenchikov also noted the high investment interest in the republic’s mining complex.
