The land plot on the shore of Karantinnaya Bay should become federal property. This was reported in the court decision on the claim of the Sevastopol government.

The land plot at the intersection of Katernaya and Karantinnaya streets was intended for the construction of a gas pipeline across Sevastopol Bay.

In 2019, the government of Sevastopol approved a project for land surveying for the construction of a new gas pipeline, and then transferred it for free use to the State Public Institution “Unified Directorate of Capital Construction,” which is the customer for the construction of a facility worth more than 3 billion rubles.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense also declared their rights to the territory.

The lawsuit against the government of Sevastopol notes that the disputed site was previously within the boundaries of military camp No. 42 and should be transferred to federal ownership in accordance with the decree of the government of Sevastopol No. 195-RP dated March 20, 2015.

As a result of the proceedings, the Sevastopol Arbitration Court found the claims of the Russian Ministry of Defense to be justified and made a decision in its favor.

But the government of Sevastopol tried to appeal this court decision. But in the end, the 21st Arbitration Court of Appeal left the decision of the previous instance (adopted in favor of the Ministry of Defense) unchanged, and the complaint of the Sevastopol government was not satisfied.
