A NMU regime has been declared in five cities of the Southern Urals.
As reported by the Chelyabinsk Hydrometeorological Center, weather conditions conducive to the accumulation of pollutants in the atmospheric air are expected in the region from April 25 to 27.
In this regard, in Chelyabinsk, Magnitogorsk, Korkino, Karabash and Zlatoust, from 22:00 on April 25 to 19:00 on April 27, a first-degree NMU regime is introduced.
A similar warning was sent to individual enterprises in the Chelyabinsk region.
Residents of the Southern Urals are advised to drink as much water as possible during the NMU period, but give preference to alkaline mineral water or fermented milk products. Juices and oxygen-protein cocktails will also be appropriate. But it’s better to avoid carbonated water.
Emergency services also advise avoiding unnecessary stress. It is advisable to choose clothes from natural fabrics. A contrast shower will also be useful. It is strongly recommended to avoid alcoholic beverages. In case of persistent shortness of breath, cough and insomnia, you should immediately consult a doctor.
When emergency conditions occur, residents are advised not to carry out work associated with smoke, dust or unpleasant odors, not to light fires, and, if possible, to refrain from traveling by private car and use public transport services.
