Residents of the Yaroslavl region will be able to watch the meteor shower – Yarreg

Residents of the Yaroslavl region will be able to see the Eta Aquarids starfall. Every year, a beautiful meteor shower is observed from April 19 to May 28. The source of the meteor flares is the dust trail left by the famous Halley’s comet, TASS reports.

This year, the peak of the starfall is predicted to occur on the night of May 5-6. According to astronomers, up to 50 meteors per hour are then expected. The radiant, which is the name given to the area where meteor bursts appear in the sky, will be located east and below the star Altair.
