Soviet and Russian children’s poet, writer, translator Viktor Lunin, who came to Pskov more than 15 years ago, shared his opinion about the city.

“I really liked your city. When we arrived and went for a walk around the city in the evening, it seemed to me that it was a little gloomy. Apparently it was dark. And in the morning we got up, went outside, and I saw how beautiful he was, how well-groomed. How beautiful the buildings look, many freshly painted. In general, it feels like you are watching the city very well,” the poet shared his opinion on the air of the “Ministry of Culture” program on the “Silver Rain” radio station (88.3 FM) in Pskov.

The guest of Pskov paid special attention to the preservation of ancient historical buildings. “The city made a huge impression on me. And if there is such an opportunity, I will come here with pleasure,” the radio guest emphasized.

Victor Lunin is a laureate of the literary prize of the Murzilka magazine, the author of the best book about cats, The Adventures of Butter Liza, a man who wrote poems for all the plays in the Children’s Album by Pyotr Tchaikovsky, who wrote and published several dozen books.
