They attacked a passerby, beat him and took his bank card
On April 25, 2024, the Novosibirsk Regional Court completed the consideration of the criminal case against Egor Rukovishnikov and Vladislav Ivasenko, accused of murder and robbery committed in February 2023. This was reported today by the press service of the Courts of General Jurisdiction of the Novosibirsk Region.
The court found that on the night of February 11, 2023, Rukovishnikov and Ivasenko met a young man in a store and drank alcohol with him. Later, meeting him on the street, they attacked him, beat him and took away his bank card, which contained 14,000 rubles. Leaving the beaten man lying in the snow at a temperature of -26 degrees, the attackers fled the crime scene.
The victim was discovered by a passerby and taken to the hospital, where he died from a closed head injury. During the trial, Ivasenko did not admit his guilt, and Rukovishnikov partially admitted his guilt, claiming that the victim’s death was due to negligence.
The Novosibirsk Regional Court found both defendants guilty of murder and robbery. Ivasenko was sentenced to 17 years of imprisonment with restriction of freedom for a period of 1 year 6 months, Rukovishnikov – to 17 years 3 months of imprisonment with restriction of freedom for a period of 2 years. The convicts will serve their sentences in a maximum security colony.
In addition, the court decided to recover 1,000,000 rubles from each of the convicted persons in favor of the victim as compensation for moral damage, as well as jointly and severally compensate for material damage in the amount of 902,680 rubles. The verdict has not yet entered into legal force.
