In mid-March of this year, the head of the working group “Public Council-64” of the Public Chamber of the Saratov Region, Tatyana Staroverova (Nikitina), together with members of the Public Council of the Solnechny-2 microdistrict, brought gifts to children’s hospital No. 7. During a conversation with the head doctor of the hospital, Irana Mirieva, conversation about a pedestrian crossing over a double road on Tarkhova Street, where there is very heavy traffic. Women with children of different ages are forced to cross the road at their own risk literally in front of cars and trucks.
Tatyana Gennadievna promised to solve this problem, and she kept her word. A member of the Public Chamber of the Saratov Region turned to Igor Pozdnikin for help from the city’s road committee.
At the moment, work on the site is almost completed. Pedestrian crossing and zebra crossing signs appeared. There will be sidewalks nearby. Hospital visitors can now go to the hospital calmly and safely.
“It often happens that people come to a children’s hospital not only with their own children, grandchildren, nephews, and other relatives, but also to please little patients. This is also how Tatyana Staroverova (Nikitina), the head of the working group “Public Council – 64” of the Public Chamber of the Saratov Region, addressed the State Healthcare Institution “SGDKB” when, together with the participants of the Public Council, she brought gifts to the hospital.
Tatyana Gennadievna drew attention to the problem of the lack of a pedestrian crossing to the hospital, and as a public figure she promised to solve it.
A pedestrian in the indicated place is very important and necessary, since opposite the 24-hour hospital of the State Healthcare Institution “SGDKB”, on the opposite side, there is a residential area, as well as a public transport stop. For a long time, our little patients, together with their parents, had to literally run across the road through traffic to get to the opposite side.
Tatyana Gennadievna kept her promise. Now there is a pedestrian crossing! Parents with our little patients can calmly and safely cross the road without fear for the life of their child.
Of particular importance is the coordinated work of the executive branch and public organizations – the ability to quickly make effective decisions.
It is very important when the executive power, together with social activists, do a common cause and strive to ensure that not a single child is deprived of their right to timely and high-quality medical care,” noted Mirieva, chief physician of the Saratov City Children’s Clinical Hospital of Iran.
