The new head of Saratov Muslims met with the Governor of the Saratov region Roman Busargin

Governor Roman Busargin met with the new chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Saratov Region, Rasim Kuzyakhmetov, who was elected on April 23 at the DUMSO congress. In this post, Rasim Kuzyakhmetov replaced Mukaddas Bibarsov, who had headed the department since 1992.

The new mufti was introduced to the head of the region by Muqaddas Bibarsov. He noted that Rasim Kuzyakhmetov was supported almost unanimously at the congress. Rasim Kuzyakhmetov emphasized that the Spiritual Administration of Muslims will continue its educational activities, work aimed at maintaining peace and stability in the Saratov region, and interaction with youth.

“I will fulfill all the tasks that stand before me as a mufti. We will continue the work begun by Mukaddas Bibarsov to strengthen interethnic and interfaith relations in the region“, said the chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Saratov Region.

The governor noted the importance of all areas dealt with by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims, and emphasized that the regional government will continue to cooperate with DUMSO on all issues.

“We will provide all the help you need. The Spiritual Administration of Muslims traditionally makes a great contribution to preserving the traditions of our multinational region“, the head of the region emphasized.
