A minibus driver from St. Petersburg became a defendant in a criminal case, having appropriated the wallet of a 29-year-old diplomat from Singapore, 47news reported.

A guest from Southeast Asia reported the loss of his wallet, which contained money, identification, and house keys. The operational services found on CCTV footage that the young man dropped his wallet while getting out of the car on Palace Embankment. A 53-year-old minibus driver was nearby, discovered the find and took it for himself.

The man was promptly detained by the police, and the wallet with all its contents was seized. A criminal case was opened against the driver under the article “Theft”.
