A 25-year-old resident of the city of Tver became a victim of remote scammers.

The young man entered into correspondence with an unknown person. The stranger introduced himself as a stock analyst and offered the victim to make money by investing in cryptocurrency.

Wanting to enrich himself through a profitable investment, the Tver resident, following the instructions of the swindler, installed applications from three banks and transferred money to an unknown phone number and bank card. After this, the young man received an email message from an IP telephony number in another state about the need to deposit an additional $7,700. The victim followed all the scammers’ instructions and transferred them a total of about 3 million rubles.

Soon the connection with the false broker ceased, and the young man never received any income from the investment. According to the victim, he did not immediately suspect deception and contacted the police only two days later.
