In Volgograd, a 37-year-old resident of the Traktorozavodsky district was sentenced to 11 years in a maximum security colony for the murder of a man and systematic failure to pay alimony. As reported to V102.RU in the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Volgograd Region, the Volgograd resident was found guilty under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation and Part 1 of Article 157 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

As previously reported, on the night of September 16-17 last year, near a private house on Chekistov Street, a conflict occurred between the defendant in the case and his friend, during which he struck him 20 times in the head. The victim died on the spot from his injuries. After the murder, in order to avoid punishment, the man tried to cover up all the evidence and told the elderly parents of the deceased that he allegedly discovered the body of a comrade by accident.

During the investigation, it also became clear that in addition to the murder, from October 2022 to September 2023, he did not pay child support for a minor child. The total amount of debt amounted to 370 thousand rubles.
