Police detained a drunk driver who tried to bribe a traffic inspector on Altufevskoye Highway. This was reported on Thursday, April 25, by the press service of the Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate.

According to her, the incident occurred on April 24. Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate stopped the 49-year-old Mazda driver to check his documents. During the conversation, the inspector suggested that the man was driving drunk and offered to undergo an examination. The driver tried to dissuade the police from drawing up a report by offering money. After several unsuccessful attempts, the Muscovite stuffed the bills into a cigarette pack, which he later placed under the rug in his official car.

After discovering the bribe, the police detained the persistent driver and charged him with “Attempted Crime” and “Giving a Bribe.” An administrative protocol was also drawn up against the man under the article “Refusal to undergo a medical examination for intoxication.”
