The forum of inclusive entrepreneurship “Business without Borders” was held for the second time in Rostov-on-Don and became a landmark event in the field of socialization of entrepreneurs with disabilities.

The event was organized by the Rostov Regional Agency for the Support of Entrepreneurship with the support of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI), the government of the Rostov region and the Ministry of Economic Development of the region.

Carrying out such events helps to rethink the national values of society and is a unique opportunity for people with disabilities to find worthy use of their knowledge and talents.

This is also confirmed by the increased interest on the part of entrepreneurs participating in the forum, the total number of which exceeded 200 people, which is almost four times the number of participants last year.

The Minister of Economic Development of the region, Maxim Papushenko, addressed the forum participants with a welcoming speech.
– Today, the state, the governor of the Rostov region, and the regional government pay special attention to the development of social activities of entrepreneurs. Of course, this is one of the most important priorities for us. As part of the national project of the President of the country “Small and Medium Enterprises”, a whole block of support for social enterprises is provided, which includes both financial and non-financial measures. Thanks to this, over four years the number of social enterprises in the Rostov region has more than tripled, and today there are already more than a hundred of them. We plan to further expand the community of social entrepreneurs,” noted Maxim Papushenko.

The rich forum program includes various activities, including speeches by leading federal and regional speakers.

Thus, the head of the inclusive project “Open to All” of ASI Maria Voronova noted that the forum will become a starting point, a springboard for new ideas, partnerships and projects in the field of social entrepreneurship.

Entrepreneurs and athletes with disabilities spoke about their experience in building a successful career.
– Today there is a process of restructuring the structure of values in our society. Young people are paying more and more attention to people with disabilities. In 2020, we created the fashionable perfume brand PURE SENSE. What makes our products unique is that the fragrances are created by visually impaired people,” noted brand founder Ekaterina Zinchenko.
“Not only entrepreneurship, but also any other business helps a person with a disability to socialize, strengthens his character and removes communication barriers for people with disabilities,” said Alexey Churkin, silver medalist of the 2021 Paralympic Games in athletics.

At the forum, the most prominent social enterprises in the region were able to present their own products on the market of goods and services. Among them are Elena Pryazhena’s brand “Romkina Dacha” for the production of healthy snacks and sweets, the unique perfume brand PURE SENSE, ANO “Cancer We Will Win”, which helps adults with cancer diagnoses, the Russian State Public Organization “Nadezhda”, the soap-making workshop “Lavender”, inclusive craft cosmetics Kate’s Natural Care, inclusive carpentry workshop “Masters of Carpentry”, inclusive space for children “Greenhouse” from the “I Am” Foundation.
