In the Tambov region, security measures will be strengthened during the May holidays. The corresponding decision was made following the results of a joint meeting of the anti-terrorism commission and the operational headquarters, which was chaired by the Head of the Tambov region Maxim Egorov. The event was attended by heads of law enforcement agencies and regional ministries responsible for the work of operational services and life support services.
Maxim Egorov noted that it is necessary to coordinate the actions of all services in advance in order to ensure safety and at the same time create comfortable conditions for residents and guests of the Tambov region. Everything must be organized clearly and professionally.
Security measures will be strengthened in crowded places, at enterprises, fuel and energy complex facilities, healthcare and social institutions. Additional police forces, the National Guard and private security companies will be involved in maintaining law and order.
This year, as in the past, there will be no traditional mass procession on May 1. The Victory Parade will also be held without spectators. And the “Immortal Regiment” will take place online.
