Over the past 10 years, school construction in Moscow has reached a fundamentally new level. This is an important milestone in the development of the capital, said independent economist Andrei Barkhota.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said on his Telegram channel that more than 30 new schools and kindergartens will open in Moscow by the beginning of the next school year.
“The opening of new schools in the TiNAO is an important milestone in the development of the districts of the new Moscow. The work of educational institutions is an essential element of the attractiveness of housing and public spaces in the TiNAO territory,” said Barkhota.
He said that in addition to technological and operational innovations, the use of special capital economic instruments remains an important factor. One of them is the program for creating places of employment.
“Thanks to the achievement of ambitious plans for the construction of new schools in Moscow, the provision of residents with secondary education institutions is at a high level, and different areas of the metropolis have a balanced configuration of children’s educational infrastructure,” the economist said.
One of these schools, which was highly anticipated by the new residents of the Alhimovo residential complex and residents of other surrounding settlements, was built under the city program for creating places of employment. The building will become part of school No. 2083.
The new educational building with 1,200 seats includes universal and specialized classrooms, laboratory and research complexes and a robotic classroom, a media library, gyms and an event hall.
The adjacent territory includes sports grounds with an obstacle course and an all-season running track, as well as recreation areas.
