Terrorists have become younger, and recruitment methods have become remote, official representative of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee Andrei Przhezdomsky told Chelyabinsk students about this, reports the correspondent of the Access News Agency.

In modern conditions, terrorist manifestations have undergone significant changes. Firstly, this is the rejuvenation of the terrorist contingent, and secondly, the enemy’s transition to a virtual recruitment mechanism. The latter became possible thanks to the capture of the entire communication space by technological progress.“, explained Andrei Przhezdomsky.

For about two hours, students dynamically communicated with experts, analyzed real situations and solutions to complex problems on the issue under consideration, discussed how to build youth and social policy in this direction and learned a lot of useful things for themselves.

The participants discussed the motives that encourage young people to commit terrorist crimes and the most effective preventive measures in this area.

It should be noted that Andrei Przhezdomsky met with students from the Institute of Media and Social Sciences and Humanities of South Ural State University and the journalism departments of leading universities in the city.

At the meeting, participants and speakers were also the vice-rectors responsible for educational work and youth policy, the leadership of the Research Center for Monitoring and Prevention of Destructive Manifestations in the Educational Environment (SRCMP) and representatives of the apparatus of the Anti-Terrorism Commission of the Chelyabinsk Region.

The meeting was complemented by the opening of the exhibition “Neural network and man: together against terror”, developed by specialists from the Research Center for Medical Education with the support of the ATK apparatus and the Main Directorate of Youth Policy of the Chelyabinsk Region.
