The Moscow motorcycle festival “Opening of the motorcycle season – 2024” will be held on May 11, according to the Small Business of Moscow website. It is planned that more than 10,000 people will take part in it, and the route itself will pass along the Garden Ring, with the start and finish area at the Vorobyovy Gory observation deck.
As indicated in the message, the motorcycle festival is aimed at increasing the level of road safety, driving culture among motorcyclists and popularizing motorcycle transport in the capital.
The opening of the season motivated marketplaces to start selling motorcycles. The press service of Megamarket said that they did this at the end of March. At the same time, motorcycles are delivered throughout the country.
“Most often the opening of the motorcycle season occurs in April, when in most regions of Russia the average daily temperature begins to remain stable above zero. We decided to get ahead of the curve and launched sales in March so that people could prepare for the season in advance,” commented Ilya Stakhovsky, head of the Automotive Products department at Megamarket. According to him, about 500 orders were processed within a month from the start of sales. The top regions included Moscow and the region, the Sverdlovsk and Chelyabinsk regions, as well as St. Petersburg and the Krasnodar Territory.
Currently, Megamarket sells motorcycle brands such as Motoland, Rockot, Regul Moto, Moto Apollo, Super Soco, etc. According to a representative of the marketplace, the range will soon be replenished with HISUN ATVs and buggies, as well as Zontes, Progasi, Kayo motorcycles , Groza, Benda, Cyclone, Moto Morini. In addition, equipment is sold on the marketplace.
Megamarket is not the only one that has launched the sale of motorcycles and other vehicles. In mid-April, Wildberries began selling vehicles. On Ozon, the opportunity to buy a car appeared in September 2023. Megamarket began selling them in February 2024.
