Local residents call the road on Zvezdnaya Street a military field road. And all because for many years in a row, drivers here have been faced with deep holes and potholes that not everyone can get around. It is also worth considering the fact that the flow of cars does not stop, and on weekday mornings there is a serious traffic jam. Kursk residents have repeatedly contacted the relevant departments with a request to rectify the situation, but for a long time city authorities could not find out who owns the problematic road on Zvezdnaya.
“Every year these holes are getting bigger. Like a bombing. Military field road. I called the Administration, and they said that this road is no man’s road, well, it is no man’s road. But a road is needed here, because you can’t get through here in the morning” 21:45-21:57 “Impossible! How the drivers drive here, how the wheels are, how many kind words there are in quotation marks about this road and our, excuse me, authorities and our deputies!”

“They completely abandoned the road! She crawls, there is black soil here. It looks like a military road. Indeed, the only way to go is by tank. Yes, it’s as if such large cargo vehicles were traveling here. There are simply no words! Unbearable, simply unbearable. This is some kind of abandoned road, as I understand it, it has no owner.”
“Terrible! There’s a pit here, there’s a pit near five, there’s a pit over there at the exit. The car completely fails.”
“In fact, the road has been in poor condition for a long time. They tried to carry out pothole repairs here, but as you can see, the pothole repair technologies leave much to be desired. That year they built a road in the neighboring yard, and as you can see, it was difficult for people ten meters away to patch up the holes. The road is actually always in bad condition. Especially after winter, the asphalt is said to have melted. So, we’re waiting for it to be repaired.”
The chairman of the local HOA explained that for a certain period of time, residents hoped that the nearby park would be included in the improvement program, and thus, repair work would be carried out on the broken asphalt surface. However, this too was postponed. It is important to understand that the road was built more than ten years ago; more than six million rubles were allocated for this. And finally, in December last year, this site was put on the balance sheet, which indicates possible repairs.
Valery Shutov, Chairman of the Homeowners Association “Zvezdnaya 17”, Kursk: “In December 2023, they finally found the owners, that is, they put it on the balance sheet and promised that they would do it this summer. Last year, according to the improvement program, house 13 and house 15 were done partially, from Zvezdnaya Street, from there, exit to house 17. This section of the road was made here, but this section was not on the balance sheet at that time.”
The “Safe and Quality Roads” project did not completely affect Zvezdnaya Street, however, after finding out who owns this piece of land, it will become much easier to achieve improvement of the territory. Let us clarify for residents that repair work on Zvezdnaya Street is promised to begin in the summer of 2024.
