The signing took place in St. Petersburg

The Murmansk Regional Duma signed cooperation agreements with colleagues from the Rostov region and Sevastopol.

Cooperation agreements were signed between the legislative authorities of 33 Russian constituent entities at the Tauride Palace in St. Petersburg.

In turn, cooperation documents were signed by the Chairman of the Murmansk Regional Duma Sergei Dubovoy, the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the Rostov Region Alexander Ishchenko and the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of the city of Sevastopol Vladimir Nemtsev.

The agreements are aimed at expanding and strengthening inter-parliamentary relations. The agreements involve the exchange of experience in legislative activities and parliamentary control over the implementation of laws, the development of direct contacts between deputies, committees and commissions, the exchange of delegations, and the holding of joint parliamentary events.

“This is a significant stage in the development of relations between our regions. We are interested not only in exchanging experience in legislative work, but also in studying best practices in other areas. I look forward to developing relations between our youth and strengthening cooperation in the field of youth policy. I am convinced that we have something to gain learn from each other,” says Sergei Dubovoy.

The signing ceremony traditionally took place within the framework of events currently being held by the Council of Legislators of Russia.
