Road markings will be applied on 353 streets of Nizhny Novgorod this year. This was reported to the MBU “SMEU”.
The total volume of markings that will appear on the roads of the regional center will be 202 thousand square meters. Including 92.4 thousand square meters of markings will be thermoplastic, 47.2 thousand square meters will be plastic, and another 62.4 square meters will be applied with plastic under warranty.
By the way, the volume of plastic markings in the regional center is growing every year, and this year its share will reach 84%. The work will take place in several stages: first, the main highways will be marked, then the entrances to social institutions, and only then the secondary roads.
Workers have already begun applying markings as soon as the weather permits. Now work is being completed on Minin, Varvarskaya, Bolshaya Pokrovskaya, Sakharov streets, Nizhnevolzhskaya embankment and Pokhvalinsky Congress. Most of them are carried out at night, so as not to create traffic jams.
Earlier it was reported that 59 kilometers of roads in Nizhny Novgorod were repaired in 2023. And this year the city plans to modernize 28 traffic lights.
