This year, the authorities of the Northern capital have expanded the program of festive decoration of the city for Victory Day.
As Vladimir Ryabovol, Chairman of the Committee for Press and Interaction with the Media of St. Petersburg, said, more than 400 addresses will be used in all 18 districts of the city, which is 50 addresses more than last year.
— In total, more than 16 thousand elements of urban design will be placed on the streets. First of all, these are the coats of arms and flags of cities of military glory, hero cities, orders of the Great Patriotic War,” Ryabovol said during a press conference held at TASS on the organization and preparation of the Victory Day celebrations.
Also, as part of the festive decoration, a series of posters will be used, which will be placed on outdoor advertising.
— This is the “People’s Victory” series using portraits of living veterans in our city. More than 500 parties to the city’s advertising structures will be involved. We will also use 12 large-format screens located in the historical part of the city; congratulatory and holiday videos will be broadcast on them,” noted the head of the committee.
Earlier, 78.ru wrote that 400 streets in St. Petersburg will be decorated for Victory Day, for which about 110 million rubles will be allocated from the city budget.
