As part of the All-Russian Single Day for the Prevention of Heart Disease, the “Heart Health Day” event was held in institutions of the region’s penitentiary system for convicts.
Thanks to the agreement reached with the Kursk Regional Multidisciplinary Clinical Hospital, cardiologists examined, advised and adjusted the treatment of prisoners IK-2 and IK-9, who were registered at the dispensary for diseases of the cardiovascular system. In addition, cardiologists Alexander Shatunov and Vsevolod Kolomiets told the prisoners about risk factors and methods for preventing heart disease.
Based on the results of the examination, the convicts were given the necessary recommendations and additional methods of examination and treatment were prescribed. Health workers also held conversations about maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
