The majority of Russian residents consider Sberbank the most reliable bank for placing deposits. 81% of respondents answered this way. The survey was conducted by the Servisoria company in March-April.
According to the survey, more than half of respondents (53%) trust their savings to large banks. 33% of respondents are ready to store money in banks from the top 10. For 8% of respondents, it is important that the state is a shareholder of the bank.
Only 4% of respondents answered that what was most important to them was the opportunity to earn money and high rates.
“Today, banks offer their clients a large number of different products for investing and saving money. At the same time, the key rate of the Bank of Russia remains quite high. And if this fact negatively affects loans, since the interest rate on them increases, then in the case of deposits, an increase in the key rate allows banks to make offers on deposits even more attractive. We decided to ask Russians which banks they trust their money, where and how they prefer to place it, whether they are chasing high interest rates or choosing stability. As it turned out, very many – 53% – are primarily interested in the size and status of the bank; they look at financial indicators, as well as government participation. In addition, many prefer to deposit their money in large banks included in the top ten,” Anna Belova, project manager for customer experience at Servisoria, commented on the survey results.
By a reliable bank, respondents most often understand large, large, solid, solid, fundamental – this is what 24% of respondents answered.
“In 17% of cases, characteristics such as “safe, protected, guaranteed” were indicated, in 12% – “stable, stable”, in 10% – “popular, in demand, famous, top-end,” follows from the survey data.
The survey was conducted on the website sboridey.ru in March-April 2024. 1000 people took part in it. Of these, 78% are women, 22% are men.
