Events dedicated to the All-Russian Day of Ecology were held in Pskov schools today, April 25. They are aimed at developing in children a culture of respect for nature. PAI was informed about this by the press service of the government of the Pskov region.
Fifth-graders from school No. 18 named after Hero of the Soviet Union, General V. F. Margelov, took part in eco-lessons. This lesson is being held at the school for the second year as part of the “Eco-Thinking” project, implemented with the support of the Presidential Grants Fund.
Children from the primary school of socio-economic lyceum No. 21, together with an educational adviser, a class teacher, parents, and counselors-mentors, tried their hand at the game “Eco-children – friends and defenders of nature.” Schoolchildren had to guess riddles, solve puzzles, and make birdhouses.
As part of the event, the Eco-Kaleidoscope game was organized at the PPK. Young ecologists learned what ecology is, what eco-habits help protect the planet from pollution.
At the event, children read poems and sang songs dedicated to caring for the planet, and also solved riddles and answered questions.
Ecolyat Day is one of the events of the All-Russian environmental social and educational projects “Ekolyat – Preschool Children”, “Ekolyat”, “Young Defenders of Nature” and the All-Russian action “Russia – Territory of Ecolyat – Young Defenders of Nature”.
A special feature of the “Ekolyata” project for developing a culture of love for nature among students is its focus on the spiritual, moral, aesthetic education of children, creating the necessary conditions for the development of a harmonious personality in a child using the fairy-tale characters “Ekolyata” – friends and defenders of nature.
The culture of love for nature is understood as the sphere of spiritual culture, organization and development of life activities, ensuring the preservation and enrichment of the positive experience of knowledge and interaction between man and nature, accumulated in the process of natural and social development.
