In the Volgograd region, weekly price monitoring carried out by Volgogradstat showed the leading price increases for goods and services for the week from April 16 to April 22.

As last week, food prices changed differently in the regional center and throughout the region. In the Volgograd region, the list of the most significant increases in prices was for beets (+11.9%), margarine (+3.2%), carrots (+2.3%) and bananas (+2.1%). At the same time, margarine was on the list of cheaper products last week, and prices for beets already began to rise.

Also included in the list of more expensive products were vermicelli (+1.7%), cookies and sausages with sausages (+1.6%). For other products the price increase was less than 1%. Over the week, price tags for canned vegetables for baby food decreased (-6.6%), black long tea (-4.0%), chicken eggs (-1.2%) and wheat flour (-1.1%).

In the regional center, the list of products that increased in price by more than 1% was slightly wider: chilled chicken and table salt increased in price by exactly 1% (+1.3%).

We previously wrote about forecasts for a sharp rise in buckwheat prices. So far, prices for Nene have been decreasing slightly. Thus, according to the results of the previous monitoring, a kilogram of buckwheat cost 57.31 rubles; according to recent data, the figure was adjusted to 57.23 rubles.
